It all depends on your budget of course. But if you are serious about your health and want to make life-changing “changes” your health - drinking a daily 24 oz or 32 oz of fresh juice is what I recommend. Juicing has been my “health insurance” since 2010.
Norwalk or Pure Juicer. It is like the king of all juicers. It costs around $2500. It is used in most healing centers since this juicer allows for minimum oxidation. This means that all the liquid is barely exposed to any air while it is thus preserving most nutrients. I do not recommend this juicer for home use: it is expensive, takes up a lot of space, and is not easy to clean.
Double Blade Slow Masticating Juicers - Green Star is the best brand. Ranges up to $600. A great juicer, pretty compact, and yields a lot of juice too. But for me, it is a bit harder to clean. And it has a narrow top, which means you will need to do a lot of chopping into pretty small pieces of every fruit and vegetable before feeding them into the juicer. But it is a great juicer nevertheless.
Single Blade Slow Masticating Juicer. Omega Nutritional Juicer. The price ranges from $150 to $400. Very similar in shape and design to Green Star. But it has only a single blade. Which is not bad. I had this juicer for over 10 years. It has the same narrow feed part as a Green Star, and the juice is collected into a bucket, which is immediately exposed to air, thus causing faster oxidation. If not drinking right away, and is wanting to save more for the next day - I would just immediately pour the juice in a mason jar all the way up to the top, close the lid, and store it right away in the fridge. Good to store for up to 2 days.
Centrifugal Juicer. Breville or Jack LaLaine. Price range is $100-$250. This is a centrifugal juicer, which means that compared to the all above slow masticating juicers, the high speed will heat up the fresh produce. Thus removing all the valuable nutrients which are altered by heat. Masticating juicers do not heat up the juice during the extraction process. Centrifugal juicer also produces way less juice. I would not recommend any of the centrifugal juicers.
Nama J2. My recent purchase and I love it. The price is about $500. By the way, I am not affiliated with it. I like the compact design, it is also a slow cold press masticating juicer, you barely need to chop any fruits and veggies, like very rough chop only. It can take a load of several produce items at a time, you press a button, and can go away. Then you release the valve to have the juice poured into the cup that comes with it. This way it is not always in the contact with air, causing less oxidation. The cleaning is easy too. It’s almost like a hands-free juicer and made my process of juicing so much after and much more pleasant.
